3. Can a supplement remineralize your teeth? What the labels show

Remineralization is a real process, and a real selling point. We lined up what five supplements put toward your enamel against what the American Dental Association recommends.

Short answer

Remineralization is how teeth rebuild minerals that acids strip away, and the ADA credits fluoride for it: fluoride "helps fight cavities by repairing the damage these acids can do to our teeth." None of the supplement pages we read shows any measurement of teeth being repaired. The enamel-related ingredients they carry are calcium (20 mg in DentiCore, 2% of the daily value; no amount in Power Bite or FortBite) and hydroxyapatite inside an unsplit blend (Synadentix and DentaTonic). What the ADA tells you to do is brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.

## What remineralization means

Bacteria in your mouth turn sugars into acids, and those acids pull minerals out of your enamel. Putting minerals back is remineralization. In the ADA's words, fluoride "helps fight cavities by repairing the damage these acids can do to our teeth. The repair process is called remineralization."

The ADA names three ways to get that fluoride to your teeth: toothpaste, a fluoride mouthwash ("Mouthwash that contains fluoride can help make your teeth more resistant to decay"), and fluoride your dentist applies during a visit.

## What the supplements on this site put toward your enamel

Product

Enamel-related ingredient

Amount

What its page says

DentiCore

Calcium (dicalcium phosphate)

20 mg, 2% of the daily value

Its pitch is about gums and bad bacteria, not enamel

Power Bite

Calcium carbonate

Not disclosed

A "mineral candy" that protects teeth and gums

FortBite

Calcium carbonate, brushed on as a powder

Not disclosed

"Supports healthy enamel"

Synadentix

Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite

Part of a 400 mg blend of 10 ingredients

Your body can "repair teeth while you sleep"

DentaTonic

Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite

Part of the same 400 mg blend

A "Dental Filtration Breakthrough"

From each official page and label, read on September 25, 2026. None of the five pages shows a measurement of enamel or teeth before and after.

## Hydroxyapatite: toothpaste vs. tablet

You've probably seen hydroxyapatite on toothpaste tubes, where it's brushed straight onto your teeth. In Synadentix and DentaTonic it's something else: one of ten ingredients sharing a 400 mg tablet blend, and neither label says how much of the 400 mg it is.

So if hydroxyapatite is what you're after, a toothpaste that states it on the tube tells you far more than either tablet does.

## Before you pay for "enamel support"

### Look for a number

DentiCore is the only one with a calcium amount on the label, and it's 20 mg, which the same label puts at 2% of the daily value.

### Look for proof

"Repair teeth while you sleep" is a claim. A before-and-after measurement would be evidence. None of these pages has one.

### Keep the basics

The ADA's advice: "Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste for at least two minutes each time, or as directed by your doctor or dentist."

## When to see a dentist instead

Sensitivity that won't go away, white or brown spots on your teeth, or pain when you bite are reasons to book a dental visit, not to order a supplement. Your dentist can also apply fluoride directly to your teeth during the visit.

## Frequently asked questions

**Can a supplement remineralize teeth?**

None of the five we read shows that it can. Their enamel-related ingredients are either in tiny amounts (20 mg of calcium) or in amounts they don't disclose.

**What actually remineralizes teeth?**

The ADA credits fluoride, delivered by toothpaste, fluoride mouthwash or your dentist. Its advice is to brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste for at least two minutes.

**Is a hydroxyapatite supplement the same as hydroxyapatite toothpaste?**

No. Toothpaste puts it on your teeth. In Synadentix and DentaTonic it's part of a tablet blend with no stated amount.

**Do any of these supplements contain fluoride?**

None of the five lists fluoride among its ingredients.
